Auction
The ASPPP has not held an annual auction since 2021, but we are now planning to have an auction of society-owned Souvenir Page and Commemorative Panel year sets. The most recent auction was a Plate Number Coil (PNC) Souvenir Page/Cancellation Page Auction in 2021. That auction closed on September 25, 2021.
Our auctions are mail (and email) bid auctions. All lots in our auctions have a minimum bid. You submit a max bid for each lot, and if you are the only bidder you get the lot at the minimum bid for that lot; otherwise, high bidder gets the lot at one advance ($1) over the next highest bid. Postage is added to the total of all lots won. The Buyer does not pay any premium or commission. Sellers pay 10% of the highest bid.
We believe our society auctions are the largest auctions of philatelic page or panel material assembled in one place! Depending on the auction, we will have lots of Souvenir Pages, Cancellation Pages, Commemorative Panels, Stamp Posters or privately-produced Pages, including errors, plate number coil Pages, line pair Pages, watermark varieties, autographed pages, booklet plate numbers and booklet tab marking varieties; there could be individual items, year sets oraccumulations. Some of these items are from very advanced collections, seldom seen on the market.
You can download the spreadsheet list of lots for the PNC Page Auction 2021 from the first link below. You can also download prior years' lots for 2006-2016 (with prices realized) from the other links below; that should give you a better indication of the value of certain items in the past and help you figure out a winning price to bid in this auction. You do not have to be an active member of the ASPPP to bid in the auction, but membership is still very affordable ($15/yr with some great offers for free Pages for joining). You must be an active ASPPP member to sell lots in the auction; all sellers pay a 10% commission on the prices realized. To bid in the auction you can send a list of lots to ASPPP Auction, PO Box 1042, Washington Township NJ 07676 listing each lot with a max bid, or email your bids to pncpages@asppp.org.
